Amaury Nolasco has come a long way since he played minor character "Orange Julius" in 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious. In fact in a recent interview with IGN Movies, the actor elaborated on how his role as Fernando Sucre on FOX TV's Prison Break has helped him develop as an actor and has opened up new doors to the big screen.Nolasco has played small roles in both Transformers and The Benchwarmers, but he's currently working on the action flick Armored where he holds his own amidst a star-studded cast.
Prior to the Armored shoot, Nolasco worked on the drama/thriller Street Kings, which boasts stars Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker and House, genius Hugh Laurie, among others. In the film, Nolasco plays a cop surrounded by corruption.
"When I did Street Kings , I needed to find a justification for cops to be corrupt," said the actor. "It's about choice. So, am I a bad guy? To label he's a bad guy [or] he's a good guy… I don't know. He's a confused guy."
Nolasco's Sucre is equally confused, as he is one of the few members of the Prison Break boys to be back in jail after last season's cliffhanger finale. Nolasco anticipates a prompt return to work on Prison Break once Armored wraps production in late spring.
